Where the numbers come from
The two Minecraft tools use the damage, armor and enchantment formulas on the Minecraft Wiki and reproduce its Feather Falling damage table row for row. The prestige tool uses the formula in Cookie Clicker's own game code. The payback and ROI tools use the textbook definitions from Penn State and Harvard Business School Online, with worked examples built on invented numbers, not any game's real prices. All are fan-made and not affiliated with Mojang, Microsoft or any game publisher. Related: the Minecraft XP level calculator and the Nether portal calculator.
Where the numbers come from
The Risk tool uses the dice rules in the Hasbro rulebook and is checked against the per-roll table in MIT OpenCourseWare's Strategy of Risk paper. The Catan generator uses the component counts and the red-number rule from the Catan rulebook and almanac. The combo and mulligan tools use the hypergeometric formulas and the Magic: The Gathering Comprehensive Rules. The cribbage counter follows the American Cribbage Congress scoring chart, and the score sheet's Hearts check comes from Pagat.com. All are fan-made and not affiliated with any game publisher. How these pages are sourced
Game formulas come from published rules and community wikis that we open and cite on each page, with the date we checked. Where a formula is not published, the page says so and asks you for the number instead of guessing. These tools are not affiliated with any game publisher, and game names appear only to describe what a calculator is for.
Game planners · you supply the numbers
Plan the factory, the farm and the craft.
Small calculators for factory, farming and crafting games. None of them ships game data, so they cannot go stale after a patch: you read the recipe or price off your screen and type it in.
Why these take your numbers instead of a recipe database
Players on Steam forums keep asking for planners and keep finding that community calculators lag behind patches: one thread notes that "The recipes/ratios change from version to version", another that "everything I've found online is out of date". These tools sidestep that by doing only the arithmetic. Each page shows its formula, a worked example with invented numbers, and the sources it relies on. They are planning estimates, not game guides, and they are not affiliated with any game or publisher.
