Why you enter the limit

Amazon sets bullet-point and description limits per category and marketplace, and the Seller Central pages cited on this site do not publish one universal figure. Rather than assert a number that may not apply to your listing, this counter measures what you paste and compares it with the limit you type from your category’s style guide or Seller Central’s listing form.

Each non-empty line is treated as one bullet, and a leading dash, asterisk or bullet mark is ignored. The description shows characters, words, UTF-8 bytes and, when you enter a limit, what is left. Leave a limit blank to count only.

Official sources checked 18 October 2026: Amazon Seller Central announcement “Updates to improve your product titles begin on July 27” (News_Amazon, Seller Forums, updated 10 June 2026); Amazon staff summary of product title requirements (Seller Forums); and Amazon’s Product title requirements and guidelines for category and marketplace detail. Some third-party blogs give different details, such as enforcement timing, so this page follows Seller Central only. TNAADO is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon. Guidance can change and can differ by category and marketplace, so confirm the final listing in Seller Central. Sources checked 18 October 2026.

How many bullets does Amazon allow?

This tool does not set a bullet count. Follow your category style guide.

Every Unicode character including spaces. UTF-8 bytes are shown separately.

Is my copy stored?

No. Counting is local to your browser.

A drafting aid, not an Amazon approval

Length and character checks cannot predict whether Amazon accepts, rewrites or suppresses a listing. Verify the final copy in Seller Central.
