Frequently asked questions

What is the Amazon title character limit?

Amazon’s seller announcement states titles must be 75 characters or less including spaces from July 27, 2026, in all categories except media. Earlier guidance allowed up to 200 characters for most categories, and your category may be stricter. Check Seller Central for your category.

Yes. Amazon says the limit includes spaces.

Which special characters are not allowed in Amazon titles?

Amazon lists ! $ ? _ { } ^ ¬ and ¦ as not allowed unless they are part of the brand name.

How many times can a word repeat in an Amazon title?

No more than twice, according to Amazon’s title requirements. Prepositions, articles and conjunctions are exempt.

Does this tool check bullets or the description?

No. Amazon does not publish one consistent bullet or description limit that this tool could verify, so it only counts the title.
