How the split works

Amazon’s announcement describes Item Highlights as an additional 125 characters for materials or recommended use cases, searchable and shown with titles in search results and on product pages. It suggests keeping the key product information in the title and moving extra detail to Item Highlights.

This tool cuts at the last whole word that fits 75 characters, then fits as much of the leftover as possible into 125 characters. The cut is mechanical and does not understand your product, so rewrite the result. It also lists bracketed text, repeated words and promotional wording that could be removed to save space. Anything that fits neither field is shown so nothing disappears silently.

Some third-party blogs give different details, such as enforcement timing, so this page follows Seller Central only. TNAADO is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon. Guidance can change and can differ by category and marketplace, so confirm the final listing in Seller Central. Sources checked 18 October 2026.
