What CRNM Nurse Check covers

CRNM says anyone can verify the status of a registered nurse (RN), nurse practitioner (RN(NP)), graduate nurse (GN) or graduate nurse practitioner (RN(GNP)).

On the directory you can search with “either or both the first and last name of the individual or their registration number,” and also by a previous name. CRNM does not publish a registration-number format on those pages.

Nurse Check shows whether there are conditions or restrictions on an RN’s practice and the certificate of practice expiry date. CRNM says requests are processed in real time against its database, that there may be a short delay between approval and when information appears, and that you should contact it if results seem to conflict with your records. Employment information shown is self-reported by registrants.

Why you would check a nurse’s registration in Manitoba

Manitoba employers and the public use Nurse Check to confirm status and see whether conditions apply. Results can include people who previously held the name searched, so confirm identity from more than a name.

Frequently asked questions

What does a CRNM registration number look like?

CRNM lets you search by registration number but publishes no format or check digit on its Nurse Check pages. A plausible-looking number proves nothing.

First name, last name, registration number, or a previous name, according to the directory page.

Who is covered by Nurse Check?

Registered nurses, nurse practitioners, graduate nurses and graduate nurse practitioners.

Can this page confirm a nurse is registered?

No. It queries nothing and cannot confirm status. Use Nurse Check.

Guide only — not a verification tool

This page is an independent guide that links to CRNM’s official register. TNAADO is not affiliated with the regulator. It does not check anyone’s registration, implies no official verification, and nothing you might type here is transmitted anywhere. Use the official register to confirm a nurse is currently registered.
