Find a nurse in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Nursing regulation in Newfoundland and Labrador now sits with the NL College of Nurses. Its Search for a Nurse page lists the public directories. This guide explains what they cover.
Use the official register for the answer: The NLCN directories are the source. This page does not look anyone up and cannot confirm registration.
Who the NL directories cover
NLCN’s website says the College was formed on April 15, 2026, bringing all nursing designations under one organization. Its search page covers four designations in two directories: registered nurses, nurse practitioners and registered psychiatric nurses (operated by the former CRNNL) and licensed practical nurses (operated by the former CLPNNL), with the two being combined after the merger.
The page says the directories include nurses who hold a non-practising membership, so appearing in a directory does not by itself mean a person is currently practising. It does not describe search fields or a registration-number format.
Open the official register
NLCN says each directory shows a nurse’s current registration status and that only those registered or licensed with the College may practise nursing in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Why you would check a nurse’s registration in Newfoundland and Labrador
Employers and families use the directories to check status. Check the status shown, not just the presence of a name, because non-practising members are listed.

Frequently asked questions
What happened to the ARNNL and CRNNL?
NLCN’s page refers to the merger of CRNNL and CLPNNL into the NL College of Nurses. It does not mention ARNNL, so this guide makes no claim about that name.
What can I search for in the NLCN directories?
Its page does not list fields; open the directory to see them.
Does being listed mean a nurse is practising?
Not necessarily. NLCN says the directories include nurses with a non-practising membership; read the status shown.
Can this page confirm a nurse is registered?
No. It queries nothing. Use the NLCN directories.
Guide only — not a verification tool
This page is an independent guide that links to NLCN’s official register. TNAADO is not affiliated with the regulator. It does not check anyone’s registration, implies no official verification, and nothing you might type here is transmitted anywhere. Use the official register to confirm a nurse is currently registered.
