CPSM Practitioner Profile Search Manitoba.
The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba publishes a Practitioner Profile Search and a separate disciplinary actions list. This guide explains what each covers.
Use the official CPSM profile search for the answer. This page does not look anyone up and cannot confirm that a doctor is licensed.
What the CPSM Practitioner Profile Search covers
CPSM says you can “search by name, location, or field of practice”. Each profile includes the physician’s education, training, primary practice location, any restrictions or conditions on their practice, and previous disciplinary action.
CPSM does not publish a registration-number format on that page, so this guide does not describe one.
Open the official register
Read the restrictions or conditions line first. A condition does not by itself mean a physician is unlicensed, but it does tell you the licence is not unqualified, and it is information a patient or employer may care about.
CPSM also keeps a separate Disciplinary Actions database. It lists formal actions such as Censures and Inquiry Panel decisions, and CPSM says decisions are posted once they are final. A very recent matter may therefore not be listed yet, and a profile with no discipline shown is not a guarantee about the future.
CPSM can be contacted on 204-774-4344, toll free 877-774-4344, or cpsm@cpsm.mb.ca.
Why you would check a Manitoba physician
Common reasons are booking a private assessment, confirming a doctor behind a medical letter, or checking a clinic that advertises a physician. A name and a clinic logo prove nothing on their own.
Comparing the primary practice location on the profile against the address you were given is a quick consistency test.
Impersonator and scam check
- Compare the name, practice location and field of practice from the person against the profile; a mismatch is a reason to stop.
- A fake letter or note can carry a real physician’s name. If a document matters, phone the clinic using a number from the register or from an independent source, not the number printed on the document.
- Type the address or use the button; do not follow a link in an unsolicited message that asks you to verify a doctor.
- General advice, not CPSM wording: never share health-card or banking details to “complete verification”. A register lookup needs neither.

Name, location or field of practice, according to CPSM.
Where is disciplinary action listed?
CPSM keeps a Disciplinary Actions database of formal actions, including Censures and Inquiry Panel decisions, posted once final. It is separate from the profile search.
Can this page confirm a doctor is licensed?
No. It queries nothing and cannot confirm status. Use the CPSM Practitioner Profile Search.
Guide only — not a verification tool
This page is an independent guide that links to the official register. TNAADO is not affiliated with the regulator. It does not check anyone’s registration, implies no official verification, and nothing you might type here is transmitted anywhere. Use the official register to confirm current status; this page cannot confirm it.
