Find a nurse in Alberta.
Alberta splits nursing across several regulators. CRNA’s public “Verify A Nurse” search covers registered nurses and nurse practitioners. This guide explains what it covers and links you to it.
Use the official register for the answer: Use CRNA’s Verify A Nurse search for the record. This page does not look anyone up and cannot confirm registration or practice status.
What the Alberta search covers
CRNA’s page says you can search by first name, last name or Registrant ID, and describes the tool as a search of its list of Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses.
Licensed practical nurses and health care aides are directed to the CLHA, registered psychiatric nurses to the CRPNA, and physicians to the CPSA, per the same page. If the person you are checking is not an RN or NP, this register is the wrong one. CRNA does not show a Registrant ID format on that page.
Open the official register
CRNA says the tool shows current registration status, licence type, any conditions or restrictions on the permit, and whether there are complaint decisions or disciplinary actions linked to the registration.
Why you would check a nurse’s registration in Alberta
Alberta employers, patients and families use the search to confirm that an RN or NP holds a permit and to see whether conditions apply. A person who is not listed may be registered with a different Alberta regulator, or not registered at all; the register cannot tell you which.

Frequently asked questions
What does an Alberta Registrant ID look like?
CRNA’s search page lists Registrant ID as a search field but gives no format or example. Do not assume a number is valid because it looks right.
What can I search for in CRNA Find a Nurse?
First name, last name or Registrant ID. It covers nurse practitioners and registered nurses only.
Where do I check an Alberta LPN or psychiatric nurse?
CRNA’s page points LPNs and health care aides to the CLHA and registered psychiatric nurses to the CRPNA.
Can this page confirm a nurse is registered?
No. It queries nothing and cannot confirm status. Use CRNA’s tool.
Guide only — not a verification tool
This page is an independent guide that links to CRNA’s official register. TNAADO is not affiliated with the regulator. It does not check anyone’s registration, implies no official verification, and nothing you might type here is transmitted anywhere. Use the official register to confirm a nurse is currently registered.
