Nova Scotia nurse registry search.
The Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN) has been replaced by the Nova Scotia Nursing and Midwifery Regulator. Its public directory is where a nurse’s registration is shown. This guide explains the search and links you to it.
Use the official register for the answer: The NSNMR directory is the source. This page does not look anyone up and cannot confirm registration.
NSNMR and the former NSCN
NSNMR’s website says it replaced the Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN) and the Midwifery Regulatory Council of Nova Scotia, and some of its links and headings still say NSCN. Its “Search for a Nurse” link opens the public directory. Midwives are searched separately.
The directory page says you can type the first name, last name or registration number. It also warns that registration numbers can overlap across licensing categories, so the name, licensing category and registration number together determine an individual’s unique status. A number alone is therefore not a safe identifier.

The results table is headed Registrant, Registration, Effective and Expires, with “Has conditions” and “Has comment” filters. The directory states it is published because the Regulated Health Professions Act requires specific information to be published, limits searches to six per minute, and may show a CAPTCHA at high volume.
Why you would check a nurse’s registration in Nova Scotia
Employers and the public use the directory to check a nurse before hiring or accepting care. Because numbers can overlap between categories, always match the name and licensing category as well.

Guide only — not a verification tool
This page is an independent guide that links to NSNMR’s official register. TNAADO is not affiliated with the regulator. It does not check anyone’s registration, implies no official verification, and nothing you might type here is transmitted anywhere. Use the official register to confirm a nurse is currently registered.
