About this fancy text generator
"Fancy fonts" for Instagram, TikTok, Discord, X or Facebook are not fonts. They are ordinary Unicode characters that look like a styled alphabet, taken from blocks such as Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols (U+1D400 to U+1D7FF), Letterlike Symbols, Enclosed Alphanumerics and Combining Diacritical Marks. Because they are text, they paste anywhere that accepts Unicode.
How each kind works
- Bold, italic, script, gothic, double-struck, sans-serif and monospace replace each letter with the matching code point in the Mathematical Alphanumeric block. A few letters in that block were assigned long ago elsewhere, such as the italic
h(U+210E) and scriptB(U+212C), and the generator uses those exact characters so there are no gaps. - Circled, squared, fullwidth and small caps use their own blocks; small caps has no letter q glyph in common fonts, so a close variant is used.
- Strikethrough, underline and slashed add a combining character after each letter, so the original letters stay in the text underneath.
- Upside down reverses the text and swaps each letter for a rotated look-alike.
What to know before you use it
- Accessibility: screen readers often read these characters letter by letter as "mathematical bold small a" or skip them. Do not use them for anything that must be understood by everyone, such as a call to action, an address or a password.
- Search: platforms do not treat
𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨as the word "Hello", so styled usernames and keywords are harder to find. - Fonts: a device without a glyph shows an empty box. Mainstream phones and browsers cover the math, circled and fullwidth sets; some rarer symbols can fail in older apps.
Limits
Only A to Z, a to z and the digits where the style has them are converted. Input is limited to 500 characters here and converted in your browser.
FAQ
How do I make bold text for Instagram or TikTok?
Type your text, find the Bold row and press Copy, then paste it into your bio or caption. It is a Unicode character, not a font, so it keeps its look when pasted.
Why do some letters show as empty boxes?
The device or app has no glyph for that character. Try another style, or a different app: math bold, italic and circled are the most widely supported.
Will screen readers read fancy text?
Often not well. Use it for decoration only and keep key information in normal text.
