How to decimal to text by hand
Each number is a byte from 0 to 255 and stands for one character code: 72 is H, 101 is e, 111 is o. Look each number up and join the characters in order.
Numbers must be separated by spaces, commas or semicolons so the converter knows where one ends. Anything above 255 is rejected. Values from 128 to 255 are not characters by themselves; they only make sense as part of a multi-byte UTF-8 sequence (233 on its own is invalid, but 195 169 is é).

Decimal to text FAQ
How do I convert decimal to text?
Treat each number as a character code and look up the character. 72 is H and 105 is i, so 72 105 is Hi.
What is 97 in text?
97 is the lower case letter a. Capital A is 65.
Why is 233 on its own an error?
As UTF-8, 233 starts a three-byte sequence and needs two more bytes after it. The letter é is written 195 169. This tool does not read Latin-1 or other single-byte code pages, so it reports the problem.
Do I need spaces between the numbers?
Yes, or commas. 72101 could be 72 and 101 or 721 and 01, so decimal input must be separated.
Is this the same as the ASCII to text converter?
Both read decimal codes. The ASCII version refuses anything above 127; this one accepts 0 to 255 and decodes multi-byte UTF-8.
