How to ascii to text by hand
ASCII assigns a number from 0 to 127 to each of 128 characters: 65 is A, 97 is a, 48 is the digit 0, 32 is the space. Look each code up, or add the place values yourself, and join the characters.
This converter is strict: any code above 127 is reported instead of being guessed, because it is not ASCII. Codes 0 to 31 and 127 are control characters (line feed is 10, tab is 9) and appear as invisible characters in the result. For a full list, see the ASCII table.

ASCII to text FAQ
How do I convert ASCII to text?
Look up each ASCII code and write the character it stands for. 72 is H, 101 is e, 108 is l and 111 is o, so 72 101 108 108 111 reads Hello.
What is ASCII 65?
65 is the capital letter A. Lower case a is 97, and the digit 0 is 48.
What does an error about codes above 127 mean?
ASCII only defines 0 to 127. A value like 233 is from an extended or UTF-8 encoding. Use the hex, octal or decimal to text converters, which read the bytes as UTF-8.
Can I paste hex or binary ASCII codes?
Yes. Change the input format to hex (48 65 6C 6C 6F), octal or binary (01001000 01101001).
Is ASCII the same as text?
ASCII is a 7-bit code for 128 characters. Modern text is usually UTF-8, which keeps the same codes for those first 128 characters and adds the rest of Unicode.
