Etsy Australia
Etsy fees Australia calculator.
Etsy seller fees for an Australian shop: transaction fee, domestic or international payment processing, listing fee, payout and profit.
An Australian Etsy seller pays a 6.5% transaction fee on item price plus postage, payment processing of 3% + A$0.25 on domestic orders or 4% + A$0.25 on international orders, and a US$0.20 listing fee per listing; Etsy does not list a regulatory operating fee for Australia. Worked example
Australian seller, A$50 item, A$10 postage charged, domestic order, no buyer tax. The base is A$60.00. Transaction fee: 6.5% = A$3.90. Processing: 3% x A$60 + A$0.25 = A$2.05. Fees A$5.95 before the listing fee, so you receive A$54.05 and profit after A$15 item cost, A$8 postage and A$1 packaging is A$30.05. For an international order the processing is 4% + A$0.25 = A$2.65 and fees rise to A$6.55. To make A$20 profit on a domestic order with those costs, list at A$38.89.
How it works
Transaction fee. 6.5% of the total cost of the item together with shipping and gift wrap, from Etsy's Fee Basics page. Payment processing. Etsy lists Australia as 3% + 0.25 AUD for domestic orders and 4% + 0.25 AUD for international orders, taken from the total sale price including shipping and any sales tax.
Listing fee. A flat US$0.20 per listing when you publish, charged again when an auto-renewed listing sells or for each additional item from a multi-quantity listing. It is set in US dollars, so you enter the Australian-dollar figure from your payment account if you want it counted.
Regulatory operating fee. Etsy's list of countries charged this fee does not include Australia, so the rate defaults to 0. GST. Etsy says processing fees are subject to VAT where required; the tax box on Etsy fees defaults to 0 because the Etsy pages read do not state a GST charge for Australia. Enter what your invoice shows.
Limits
Etsy Ads, Offsite Ads (see the Etsy offsite ads fee calculator), shipping labels bought on Etsy, currency conversion fees, deposit fees and income tax are not modelled. Etsy's payment processing page was read from an archived copy dated 6 July 2026 and its regulatory fee page from one dated 5 October 2026 because Etsy's help site blocks automated fetching; confirm both against your own payment account. Rates change by country and over time.
