How the StockX fees are worked out

Transaction fee. On the Verified Marketplace StockX charges a transaction fee set by your Seller Level, calculated on the final sale price. The base transaction fee is 9% at Level 1, 8.5% at Level 2, 8% at Level 3, 7.5% at Level 4 and 7% at Level 5.

Payment processing. StockX lists a 3% payment processing fee in addition to the transaction fee. The calculator applies it to the sale price.

Minimum fee. StockX lists a minimum Verified seller fee by region ($5.00 in the United States). The calculator applies that minimum to the transaction fee; the processing fee is added on top. StockX does not spell out whether the minimum includes processing, so check a real order if you sell low-priced items.

Seller Levels. Levels are based on sales in a calendar quarter: 12 sales or $1,500 for Level 2, 40 or $5,000 for Level 3, 200 or $25,000 for Level 4 and 800 or $100,000 for Level 5. Once reached you keep the level for the rest of that quarter and the next.

Net payout, profit and effective rate. Net payout = sale total - StockX fees (each line rounded to the cent). Profit = net payout - your item cost - your shipping cost. Effective fee rate = total fees / sale total.

Limits of this calculator

Verified Marketplace only. StockX says the Listings Marketplace and StockX Live currently have no standard seller fees for selected sellers, so they are not modelled. Penalty fees (for example for unshipped orders at Levels 3 to 5), the cost of the shipping label you use and any promotional rates are not included; enter shipping as your own cost and use the optional fields for anything else. "Base transaction fee" is StockX's wording; your Profile page in Account Settings shows your actual current fee.
