Formula: revenue kept = buyer-paid total / (1 + VAT rate) when you are VAT-registered, otherwise the full total. Profit = revenue kept - referral fee - FBA fulfilment fee - 1.5% fuel and logistics surcharge - storage - plan fee per unit - tax added on Amazon fees (if any) - your product, inbound and other costs.
Worked example from this tool: a 30 EUR item (VAT included) in Cucina, packed 30 x 20 x 10 cm and 500 g, sold by FBA. Referral fee 4,50 € (15% of the total price); FBA size tier Small parcel (up to 35 x 25 x 12 cm) at 5,11 € plus a 0,08 € surcharge; one month of storage 0,17 €; the Professional plan at 100 units a month adds 0,39 € a unit. After 5,41 € of VAT that you remit, fees come to 10,25 € on 24,59 € of revenue kept.
Referral fee basis: Amazon defines the total price as the amount the buyer pays for the item, delivery and gift wrap. Consumer prices in Italy include VAT, so the default base is the tax-inclusive price. On that 30 EUR Kitchen example the fee is 4,50 € on the gross price against 3,69 € if the ex-tax price were used, a gap of 0,81 € on every sale. The Italian page defines the total price as the amount payable by the buyer and does not name IVA, so confirm against a settlement report.
Rates in the tool: the Individual plan is 0.99 EUR per item and the Professional plan 39 EUR a month, both excluding VAT. Most categories have a 0.30 EUR minimum referral fee; Books, Music, Software, Video Games, consoles and Grocery and Gourmet list none. Italy lists the same category schedule as Germany, France and Spain. Tiered categories are modelled as Amazon words them: Furniture is 15% up to 200, then 10% on the rest (35,00 € on a 250 EUR sale); Jewellery and Watches use 20% or 15% on the first 250 EUR and 5% above.
FBA lookup: fulfilment fees come from the Europe FBA rate card effective 1 July 2026, column IT. The tool sorts your packed dimensions and weight into the card's size tiers (envelopes up to 33 x 23 x 6 cm, small parcel up to 35 x 25 x 12 cm, standard parcel up to 45 x 34 x 26 cm, then the oversize tiers), uses the higher of unit and dimensional weight for parcels and oversize items, and counts each started kilogram above the base weight on oversize tiers, because the card does not state a rounding rule. Selected categories (clothing, footwear, backpacks and handbags, mattresses and others the card lists) use the card's separate parcel table with a base fee for the first 100 g and a step per extra 100 g. For Italy the lookup uses the IT column; its up-to-20 g envelope fee is 3,23 €, the highest of the five euro stores in the card (Germany-only 2,33 €, France 2,75 €). Low-price FBA rates are available as a checkbox: a 12 EUR item of 90 g packed 22 x 15 x 1.5 cm costs 2,81 € to fulfil under them. Special oversize items (over 31.5 kg or beyond the 126 kg dimensional weight) are not modelled; the tool says so instead of guessing. What it does not model: low-inventory-level fees, returns processing fees, inbound placement or removal fees.
Reference FBA fees, Italy: five packed sizes through the lookup, before the 1.5% surcharge and before any holiday peak, set against the cheapest of the five euro stores in the same rate card.

Storage: monthly storage is charged per cubic metre on daily average volume: 27.54 EUR January to September and 52.20 EUR October to December for standard-size products, 19.99 and 29.23 EUR for clothing, eyewear, shoes and backpacks and handbags, and 21.78 and 34.49 EUR for oversize. The tool multiplies your packed volume by the rate and the months held, which suits steady stock; aged-inventory and storage-utilisation surcharges are not included.

FAQ
Le commissioni di vendita Amazon.it si calcolano IVA inclusa?
The page says the percentage is applied to the total selling price, the full amount the buyer pays for item, shipping and gift wrap. Italian consumer prices include 22% IVA, so this tool defaults to the gross price. The sentence never names IVA, so verify against a settlement report; the ex-IVA switch shows the gap.
What is the Amazon.it minimum fee?
Most categories pay at least 0.30 EUR per item. Books, Music, Video and DVD, Software, Video Games, consoles and Grocery and Gourmet list no minimum. The fee charged is the higher of the percentage and the minimum.
How does the tool pick the Italy FBA fee?
It places your packed size into the Europe rate card tiers and reads the IT column. For the example 30 x 20 x 10 cm, 500 g item the tier is Small parcel (up to 35 x 25 x 12 cm) at 5,11 € before the 1.5% surcharge.
Is IVA charged on Amazon fees?
Amazon quotes the plan fee as 0.99 EUR per item or 39 EUR a month excluding IVA. Whether you pay or reclaim IVA on fees depends on your registration, so the tool leaves the tax-on-fees input at 0 and lets you change it. This is not tax advice.
Does Italy have a holiday-peak FBA table?
The rate card's holiday-peak table lists the UK, Central Europe and Germany-only columns, with no separate column for Italy, so the tool uses the IT column all year.
