The 2027 dates are worked out, not published
Retraite Québec's payment dates page says that your Québec Pension Plan pension "will generally be paid on the last working day of the month", and it lists twelve dates for 2026. This covers the QPP retirement pension and the disability and survivors' benefits. No 2027 list has been posted yet. The table above applies Retraite Québec's own rule to the 2027 calendar, so every date in it is labelled expected.
The rule is an exact fit for ten of the twelve 2026 dates and a near miss for two. September 2026 was paid on September 29, a day before the last working day, and December 2026 was paid on December 30, again a day before. That is why this page gives you a date for January to November 2027 and leaves December blank, and why the September row carries a caution. The full 2026 list is below so you can see the pattern for yourself.

Worked example
January 2027 ends on a Sunday, so the last working day is Friday, January 29, 2027. In 2026 the same thing happened a year earlier: January 31, 2026 was a Saturday and the published date was Friday, January 30. July 2027 ends on a Saturday, so the expected date is Friday, July 30, 2027, matching the shape of May 2026 (May 31 was a Sunday, paid Friday, May 29).
September is the open question. September 30, 2027 is a Thursday and an ordinary day under a plain last-working-day count, yet in 2026 Retraite Québec paid on Tuesday, September 29 even though September 30 was a Wednesday. September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a federal holiday. If Retraite Québec treats it the same way in 2027, the date is Wednesday, September 29, 2027. If it does not, the payment would fall on September 30. Treat September 29 as the likelier date and confirm before relying on it.
QPP is not CPP
The Québec Pension Plan is paid by Retraite Québec, while the Canada Pension Plan is paid by Service Canada on its own calendar. The two are different agencies with different dates. Retraite Québec's page also lists other payments with different rules: public-sector pension plans such as RREGOP and PPMP are paid on the 15th of each month by direct deposit, moving to the preceding business day if the 15th falls on a weekend or statutory holiday, and the Family Allowance is paid four times a year, on January 5, April 1, July 2 and October 1 in 2026. Neither is a QPP date, and we do not list 2027 versions of them.

- Whether you are eligible, or which plan pays you. That depends on your contribution record, which this page cannot see.
- Cheque timing. The 2026 list gives pension dates. If you receive a mailed cheque, delivery takes longer, and Retraite Québec encourages direct deposit to avoid postal delays.
- December 2027. We do not give a date, because December 2026 was paid early.
FAQ
When is the QPP paid in 2027?
Retraite Québec says the Québec Pension Plan is generally paid on the last working day of the month. Applying that rule gives the January to November 2027 dates in the table. They are worked out, not yet published.
Has Retraite Québec published the 2027 QPP payment dates?
Not when we checked on October 20, 2026. Its payment dates page lists 2026 only.
What is the QPP payment date for January 2027?
Expected on Friday, January 29, 2027. January 31, 2027 is a Sunday, so the last working day is the Friday before.
Why is September 2027 expected on September 29?
In 2026 Retraite Québec paid on September 29 although September 30 was a Wednesday. We assume the same treatment of September 30 in 2027, but that is an inference from one year.
Why is there no December 2027 date?
Retraite Québec paid the December 2026 pension on December 30, a day before the last working day. Because December broke the rule, we do not give a December 2027 date.
Is the QPP paid on the same day as the CPP?
No. The QPP is paid by Retraite Québec on the last working day of the month. The CPP is paid by Service Canada on its own calendar.
Which benefits does the QPP date apply to?

Are public-sector pensions paid on the same day?
