VAC disability benefit monthly payment dates 2026 and 2027.
The twelve 2026 monthly payment dates Veterans Affairs Canada lists for disability benefits, the one place its own pages disagree, and where the 2027 dates will go.
Short answer: VAC lists twelve 2026 dates, from January 30 to December 23. As of 20 October 2026 the next is Thursday, October 29, then November 27 and December 23. VAC has not posted 2027 dates, and its two disability pages differ on January (29 or 30).

The 2026 payment dates
Veterans Affairs Canada publishes a "Monthly payment dates - 2026" list inside its disability benefits program pages. The Veterans page and the RCMP disability pension page carry the same list for eleven of the twelve months. January is the exception, and both versions are shown below rather than one being quietly chosen.
| Month | Date | Days since previous |
|---|---|---|
| January | January 30 (Friday) on the Veterans page; January 29 (Thursday) on the RCMP page | First of 2026 |
| February | February 26 (Thursday) | 27 days |
| March | March 30 (Monday) | 32 days |
| April | April 29 (Wednesday) | 30 days |
| May | May 28 (Thursday) | 29 days |
| June | June 29 (Monday) | 32 days |
| July | July 30 (Thursday) | 31 days |
| August | August 28 (Friday) | 29 days |
| September | September 28 (Monday) | 31 days |
| October | October 29 (Thursday) | 31 days |
| November | November 27 (Friday) | 29 days |
| December | December 23 (Wednesday) | 26 days |
The January 29 versus January 30 discrepancy
The Veterans disability benefits page (modified 29 July 2026) lists January 30, a Friday. The RCMP disability pension page (modified 10 February 2026) lists January 29, a Thursday. Both pages were edited after January had passed, so neither can be written off as a stale draft, and we cannot tell from the pages which date VAC actually used. It affects only a month that is already behind us. If you are reconciling a January 2026 payment against a bank record, treat the deposit you actually received as the answer and ask VAC on 1-866-522-2122 if it matters for a dispute.
2027 payment dates
Neither VAC page lists a 2027 schedule as of 20 October 2026. This page does not forecast one. The 2026 list is not a rule you can roll forward: the gaps between listed dates range from 26 days (November 27 to December 23) to 32 days, and the dates fall between the 23rd and the 30th with no pattern VAC explains. When VAC posts 2027, the dates will be added here and the lookup above will start returning them. Until then the lookup says plainly that nothing is published after December 23, 2026.
Worked example (hypothetical)
Say someone budgets around a monthly bill due on the 1st. Their payment on November 27 reaches them 4 days before December 1, and the December 23 payment arrives 9 days before January 1. The gap between those two payments is 26 days, the shortest in the 2026 list, so December's money has to stretch further than most months. What is paid in January 2027 is not on VAC's pages yet, so the example stops there instead of guessing. The numbers are invented and only show how to read the table.
Which payments these dates cover
On the Veterans page the list sits in the disability benefits page's Additional information section, right after the rates links for Pain and Suffering Compensation (a lifetime monthly or lump-sum benefit) and Disability Pension (a lifetime monthly benefit). The RCMP page puts it under its disability pension program. The VAC attendance allowance, exceptional incapacity allowance and clothing allowance program pages we read do not print a payment-date list of their own, and we found no VAC wording that says whether they share these dates. This page therefore does not claim they do.
Who this is for
Veterans and retired RCMP members who plan their month around the VAC deposit, family members and caregivers who manage a household budget, and advisers who want the published dates in one place with the source named.
What this does not cover
It does not say when your first payment will arrive after a new decision, how long your bank takes to post a deposit, what happens when a date falls on a holiday, or the dates for Canadian Forces Income Support, the War Veterans Allowance, the Caregiver Recognition Benefit or any other VAC payment, because the pages we read do not list them. It cannot see your account, and My VAC Account remains the place to confirm what you are owed.

Frequently asked questions
What are the VAC disability benefit payment dates for 2026?
VAC lists January 30, February 26, March 30, April 29, May 28, June 29, July 30, August 28, September 28, October 29, November 27 and December 23. One VAC page gives January 29 instead of January 30.
When is the next VAC payment after 20 October 2026?
The next listed date is Thursday, October 29, 2026. After that come November 27 and December 23.
Is the January payment on the 29th or the 30th?
VAC's Veterans disability benefits page says January 30 and its RCMP disability pension page says January 29. Both were edited after January, so we cannot tell which is right from the pages alone.
Has VAC published its 2027 payment dates?
Not as of 20 October 2026. Neither VAC page lists a 2027 schedule, and this page does not predict one. It will be updated when VAC posts it.
Why is the payment not on the same day every month?
VAC does not explain. In 2026 the listed dates fall between the 23rd and the 30th, and the gap between payments runs from 26 to 32 days.
Do the attendance, exceptional incapacity and clothing allowances use these dates?
VAC's allowance program pages do not print their own dates, and the pages we read do not say they share this list, so this page does not claim it. Ask VAC if you need to be sure.
Does the RCMP schedule differ from the Veterans schedule?
Only for January in 2026. The RCMP disability pension page lists the same dates as the Veterans page for February through December.
Does this page send the date I pick anywhere?
No. The lookup runs in your browser and nothing is stored or transmitted.
Reference only, not a decision
This page repeats the dates VAC publishes. It cannot confirm when a payment is made to you, covers no bank or holiday timing, and is not affiliated with Veterans Affairs Canada. Nothing you pick on this page is sent anywhere. Rates and dates change, so confirm them on the Veterans Affairs Canada pages cited above or by calling 1-866-522-2122 before relying on them.
