Pick your category and enter your price and costs to see the Newegg commission, what you keep, your profit and the lowest price that breaks even.
A $200 Computer Hardware item costs you $150 and $10 to ship. Newegg lists a 10% commission for that category, so the commission is $20.00 and you keep $180.00 before your own costs. After your $150 cost and $10 shipping, profit is $20.00 (break-even price $177.78).

How the Newegg commission is worked out
Commission. Newegg's published table lists a standard commission for each of 33 product categories: 8% for Appliance, Camera & Photo, Cell Phones, Consumer Electronics and Video Game Consoles; 10% for Computer Hardware; and 12% for every other listed category, including Other. This calculator multiplies the category rate by the item price you enter and rounds to the cent.
Special Fee column. The same table shows a “Special Fee” of 6% and a “Rebate” equal to the gap to the standard rate. The page does not say who qualifies, so the calculator only applies 6% if you choose that option. Pick it only if Newegg has shown you that rate for your account.
Other fees. The table page does not list a per-order fee, plan fee or listing fee, so none are assumed. If your Seller Portal shows an order processing charge, a membership plan or payment costs, add them in the optional fee fields and they flow into the payout, profit and break-even price.
Break-even price. The calculator tries prices one cent at a time (by binary search) and returns the lowest price where the payout covers your item cost and shipping.
Worked example
A $100 item in the Accessories category carries a 12% commission of $12.00, so you keep $88.00 before your own item cost and shipping. A $200 Computer Hardware item at 10% carries a $20.00 commission; with a $150 cost and $10 shipping the profit is $20.00.
What this calculator does not cover
- Newegg Canada and Newegg Global rates (the source page shows the country filter applies to Newegg.com only).
- Whether commission is charged on shipping you collect: the table page does not say, so the calculator applies the rate to the item price only.
- Order processing fees, membership plans, ads, returns, refunds, sales tax and income tax.
- Any promotional rebate for new sellers or rate you were quoted individually.
