The limits this preflight can verify
Etsy permits up to five files for an instant digital listing, with a maximum of 20 MB per file. Published supported types are BMP, DOC, GIF, JPEG, JPG, MOBI, MOV, MP3, MPEG, PDF, PNG, PSP, RTF, STL, TXT, ZIP, ePUB, and iBook. File names are visible to buyers and are limited to 70 characters using letters, numbers, periods, underscores, or hyphens.
This checker treats Etsy’s “20 MB” as 20,000,000 bytes so the result is conservative and transparent. It cannot inspect a ZIP’s contents, detect corruption, test whether Etsy’s uploader is available, or guarantee acceptance. Etsy does not offer variations for digital items.

What the checker does not see
Does this upload or scan my artwork?
No. The browser exposes each selected file’s name and byte size. This page does not read the content, make a network request, or use local storage.
Can it tell whether a ZIP opens correctly?
No. It verifies that ZIP is on Etsy’s supported extension list and checks its size and name. Open and test the archive yourself before publishing.
