What this checks

Etsy lists .jpg, .gif, .png, .svg, and .heic as supported image types. It recommends listing photos with a width and height of at least 2000 pixels, and a first photo of at least 635 pixels so it does not show lower in searches. Animated GIFs and transparent PNGs are not supported; transparent areas appear black. Images over 1 MB may not finish uploading on a slow connection. Etsy advises a landscape or square first photo, with the subject centred so it survives cropping into square, portrait, and landscape thumbnails.

The crop overlay is a guide: the red box is the largest centred square, and the dashed blue (4:5 portrait) and dotted green (3:2 landscape) boxes are illustrative ratios chosen by this tool, since Etsy does not publish exact thumbnail ratios. Use Etsy’s own thumbnail adjustment tool for the final placement.

This is a local technical preflight, not an upload test or acceptance guarantee. HEIC previews may not display in every browser; the checks still run from the file’s metadata. TNAADO is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Etsy.
