Quebec brevet d’enseignement verification.
Quebec’s teaching authorizations are issued by the Ministry of Education. The ministry guidance we found describes an online registry for school employers, not a public search.
Short answer: No public teacher search is described on Quebec.ca. School employers have access to a ministry registry of authorization holders; others should ask the ministry or the teacher.
What Quebec issues
The Quebec.ca page on becoming a teacher uses these terms: a teaching diploma (brevet) issued after completing teacher education or meeting the conditions of a probationary permit, a probationary teaching permit (permis probatoire) for teachers from other Canadian provinces holding a licence with conditions, and a provisional teaching licence (autorisation provisoire) needed to hold a contract while still studying.
The page does not describe a public registry or lookup.
The employer registry
A ministry guide for the probationary internship says, in French: « Les employeurs du réseau scolaire québécois ont accès au registre en ligne des titulaires d’une autorisation d’enseigner. » It adds that with the probationary permit number (or renewal number) and the teacher’s date of birth the permit’s validity can be checked, and that employers who believe they lack access should email qe-pilotage@education.gouv.qc.ca.
That registry is for employers and needs a permit number and date of birth, so this page does not link to a search and never asks for those details.
Contacts
Quebec.ca lists titularisation@education.gouv.qc.ca and 418-646-6581 (Quebec City area) or 1-833-860-6581 (elsewhere in Quebec), Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Eastern.
If you are not an employer
Ask the teacher for a copy of their authorization document and confirm through the ministry. Document names vary, so ask the ministry how to confirm one you are shown.

Guide only — not a verification service
This page is an independent guide to official registers. It does not check anyone’s certification, does not query or copy any register, and nothing you might type here is transmitted anywhere (there is no form on this page). Registers differ in scope and update speed, so treat the official register’s result, or a written statement from the issuing authority, as the answer. Not legal or employment advice.
