How this works
This is a direct lookup in the Rawlings Baseball and Softball glove sizing guide. For baseball it lists T-ball (ages 3 to 6, all positions, 8.5 to 10 in), youth (ages 7 to 12) and adult (12 and over) by position. For softball it lists youth fastpitch, adult fastpitch and adult slowpitch.
The tool has no calculation to hide: a position and level map to one printed range. Rawlings’ own page is the source of truth. One third-party retailer copy of the table prints the adult baseball infield as 12.25 to 12 in, which is a typo; Rawlings itself lists 11.25 to 12 in, and that is what this tool uses.
Worked example. A youth baseball infielder (ages 7 to 12) is listed at 10.25 to 11.5 in. A youth outfielder is 11.5 to 12.25 in and a youth first baseman 11.5 to 12 in. A youth fastpitch softball infielder is 10.5 to 11 in, and an adult slowpitch outfielder 12.5 to 14 in.
