How the yearly cost is worked out

Cost per visit = syringes x price per syringe + fixed fee, plus tax. Visits per year = 12 divided by the months between touch-ups; cost per year = cost per visit x visits per year; cost per month = cost per year / 12. The tool does not predict how long a filler lasts.

Worked example. 2 syringes at $700 is $1,400.00 a visit. A touch-up every 9 months is 1.33 visits a year, so $1,866.67 a year and $155.56 a month.

For context, ASPS lists an average cost of $715 for hyaluronic acid fillers, $901 for non-hyaluronic acid fillers and $743 for lip augmentation (US dollars; the pages give no year and do not itemise what the average includes). ASPS also says health insurance does not cover dermal fillers.
