How the comparison is worked out

Cost per month = total price of the visit / months you expect it to last. Cost per year = price x 12 / months. The option with the lowest cost per month is flagged. The tool does not know how long any product lasts: the months are your own number.

Worked example. Quote A is $700 and you expect 6 months: $116.67 a month, $1,400.00 a year. Quote B is $900 and you expect 12 months: $75.00 a month, $900.00 a year. B costs less per month even though the visit price is higher.

Context: ASPS lists $715 as the average hyaluronic acid filler cost and $901 for non-hyaluronic acid fillers (US dollars; no year stated, and what the average includes is not itemised).

FAQ

How do I compare filler prices?

Divide each total price by the months you expect it to last. The lower cost per month is the cheaper option over time, if your expectation is right.

Is a cheaper filler better value?

Not necessarily. A lower price that needs redoing sooner can cost more per month. The calculator shows cost per month so you can see it.

How many months does filler last?

It varies by product, area and person. Ask your clinician; enter their estimate here.

Can I compare toxin and filler?

They do different things, so a cost-per-month comparison across them is only a budget view, not a value judgement.

Does this include tax?

No. Enter all prices on the same basis.
