Disposal fee$0.35 per unit up to 2 lb; $0.35 + $0.20 per lb over 2 lb up to 500 lb; hazmat adds $0.50

Method and sources

Method: return processing uses the same shipping weight as fulfillment with its own rate table. Disposal rounds unit weight up to whole pounds for the per-lb part (Walmart does not state a rounding rule). Walmart-at-fault returns of unsellable items are shown as retaining the sale's fulfillment and referral fees, following Walmart's "no adjustments" wording. Removal-to-you fees (disposal fee + $0.40 per lb shipping cost) depend on your shipping cost and are not computed.

FAQ

What is the WFS return processing fee?

It is a weight-based fee, starting at $4.70 for items up to 1 lb, that you pay when a WFS item is returned and the return is not Walmart's fault.

When does Walmart waive the return processing fee?

Walmart waives it for returns it identifies as its own fault: lost in transit, lost after delivery, unable to deliver, item damaged, shipping box damaged, arrived late, and wrong item received.

Do I get the referral fee back on a return?

On a seller-at-fault return the sale is reversed and the referral fee is credited, while Walmart retains the fulfillment fee. On a sellable Walmart-at-fault return both fees are credited.

Is there a restocking fee at WFS?

The WFS fee tables list no restocking fee line. They list return processing fees, and removal or disposal fees for items that are not restocked. Confirm in Seller Center.

What if my item is hazmat or apparel?

Walmart says additional fees apply to return processing for apparel, hazardous materials and oversize items but does not publish the amounts on its fees page, so they are not included.
