Method and sources
Method: shipping weight = the greater of unit weight and dimensional weight (length × width × height ÷ 139) for items of 1 lb or more; 0.25 lb is added for packaging and the result is rounded up to the next pound. The base fee comes from the table, then extra fees are added. Items over 150 lb, longer than 108 in, or with longest side + girth over 165 in are big and bulky and use $155 + $0.80 per lb over 90 lb with no extra fees. Girth = 2 × (median side + shortest side).
Walmart's own worked example for a 10 x 40 x 40 in shelf adds the $20 Oversize 2 fee but prints a $28 total line that does not match the fee table. This tool follows the fee table.

FAQ
How does Walmart calculate the WFS fulfillment fee?
Walmart bases it on shipping weight, which is the greater of unit weight and dimensional weight for items of 1 lb or more, plus 0.25 lb for packaging, rounded up. The fee then comes from a weight table, with extra fees for apparel, hazardous materials, items priced under $10 and oversize items.
What is the WFS dimensional weight divisor?
Walmart divides length x width x height in inches by 139 to get dimensional weight in pounds.
What counts as big and bulky at Walmart WFS?
An item over 150 lb, with a longest side over 108 in, or with longest side plus girth over 165 in is big and bulky, ships by freight and costs $155 plus $0.80 per lb over 90 lb, with no extra fees.
Does WFS fulfillment include shipping to the customer?
Walmart says the fee covers packaging, handling and delivery when a customer orders the item. It does not cover the packaging you use to send inventory to Walmart.
Are WFS fees the same as the referral fee?
No. Walmart's WFS cost estimator lists the fulfillment fee, referral fee, prep and storage fees as separate components of a Walmart-fulfilled item's cost. Use the profit calculator to see them together.
