Worked example

$40 sale, $10 item cost, $1 supplies, no shipping you pay. Fee: 20% x $40 = $8.00. You receive $40 - $8.00 = $32.00. Profit: $32.00 - $10 - $1 = $21.00, which is 52.5% of the sale and a 190.91% return on the $11 you put in. To make $20 profit on the same item, list at $38.75.

How it works

US fee = $2.95 if the sale is under $15, otherwise 20% of the sale price. Poshmark's Fee Policy says that after an item sells it deducts applicable fees from the final order price, and its notice describes the US structure as a 20% seller fee with a flat $2.95 on small sales, so the seller keeps 80% on larger ones. Poshmark's seller FAQ gives the line as $2.95 under $15 and 20% on $15 or more, while the Fee Policy notice words it as 20% "over $15" and $2.95 for "$15 and under". The two differ only for a sale of exactly $15.00 (fee $3.00 versus $2.95); this tool follows the FAQ and treats exactly $15 as a 20% sale. Canadian sellers: Poshmark's seller-updates page lists C$3.95 on items under C$20 and 20% from C$20.

Profit = sale price - fee - item cost - supplies - shipping you pay. Poshmark's pages list no separate listing fee, so none is modelled. Enter the shipping you pay yourself in the shipping field; leave it at 0 if you pay none. Sales tax is not seller revenue and does not change the fee in this tool.

Reverse mode. The tool finds the lowest price, in whole cents, that reaches your target profit. Because the fee drops from 20% to a flat amount below the threshold, it checks the cheap band and the 20% band separately. Above the threshold: price = (target + costs) / 0.80.

Limits

Poshmark can change its fees and runs promotions, so the amount on your own order is the authority. Canada rates are shown in Canadian dollars. The calculator does not include income tax on your profit, sales tax handling, payout or cash-out costs, Posh Party time, or the cost of any shipping you absorb beyond what you enter. Not tax or financial advice.

FAQ

How much does Poshmark take from a sale?

In the US, a flat $2.95 on sales under $15 and 20% on sales of $15 or more, so the seller keeps 80% above that line. Canadian sellers pay C$3.95 under C$20 and 20% from C$20. Poshmark's pages list no separate listing fee.

Does Poshmark charge the buyer a fee too?

Poshmark's Fee Policy notice says it reverted to the 20% and $2.95 seller fee structure on 24 October 2024 and removed the Buyer Protection Fee. Check the current policy before relying on that, because Poshmark can change fees without notice.

Why is a $14.99 sale worth more than a $15 sale?

At $14.99 the flat fee is $2.95, so you receive $12.04. At $15 the 20% fee is $3.00 and you receive $12.00. Pricing just under the threshold keeps the flat fee.

What should I list an item for to make $20 profit?

With $10 item cost, $1 supplies and nothing paid for shipping, list at $38.75. Switch the calculator to price mode and enter your own costs and target.

What are the fees on Poshmark Canada?

Poshmark's seller-updates page lists C$3.95 for sales under C$20 and 20% for sales of C$20 or more. A C$50 sale, for example, pays C$10.00 and you receive C$40.00.
