Worked example
Listings per month: 400 fixed-price and 50 auction-style. No Shop: 450 x 30p = £135.00. Basic (£27): 250 free fixed-price, so 150 x 10p = £15.00; 100 free auction-style, so none extra; total £42.00. Featured (£77): all 400 fixed-price free, 50 auction-style free: £77.00. Anchor (£437): £437.00. All are before 20% VAT. The cheapest is Basic at £42.00, or £50.40 with VAT.
How it works
For each plan the monthly cost is the subscription price plus the listing fee for every listing above that plan's free allowance. Fixed-price and auction-style listings have separate allowances and separate extra-listing fees.
The plan figures are the ones eBay UK lists for business sellers. No Shop: no free listings, 30p per listing. Basic (£27): 250 free fixed-price and 100 free auction-style listings, then 10p and 15p. Featured (£77): 1,500 free fixed-price and 600 free auction-style, then 5p and 15p. Anchor (£437): unlimited fixed-price and 1,000 free auction-style, then 15p. eBay lists these amounts exclusive of VAT.
The table highlights the lowest monthly total; the break-even points fall where one plan's subscription is repaid by the listing fees it saves.
Limits
eBay's selling allowances and fair use policy apply, and the "value" of each plan includes things this tool does not price (Promoted Listings credits, store features, lower fees in specific categories). Final value fees are not affected by the plan in the figures eBay lists on this page, so they are left out. Charges for optional upgrades are not included. Check your own Seller Hub before you switch plans.

FAQ
How much is an eBay UK Shop subscription?
eBay UK lists Basic at £27, Featured at £77 and Anchor at £437 a month, exclusive of VAT.
How many free listings does an eBay Basic Shop include?
250 fixed-price and 100 auction-style listings a month, then 10p per extra fixed-price listing and 15p per extra auction-style listing.
When is an eBay Shop worth it?
When the listing fees you would pay without it exceed the subscription: Basic pays for itself at 90 listings a month against 30p each (90 x 30p = £27), counting only the fixed-price allowance. Use the calculator for your own mix.
Does an eBay Shop change final value fees?
On the figures eBay UK lists, the plans differ in free listings and extra listing fees. The page shows one set of category final value fees for business sellers, so this calculator does not vary them by plan.
Are these prices including VAT?
No. eBay lists them exclusive of VAT, so 20% is added; VAT-registered sellers normally reclaim it.
