Find a TRI facility

Matches any part of the name as EPA stores it. At least 3 letters.
If filled, only this exact 15-character ID is searched.

Enter a facility name, city or TRIFID and search.

Worked example

Choose state TX and city Round Rock. On 30 September 2026 EPA returned 16 facilities. One is TYCO PRINTED CIRCUIT GROUP, 2700 Oakmont Dr, TRIFID 78664TYCPR2700O, with parent company TYCO INTERNATIONAL (US) INC. Another, CYPRESS SEMICONDUCTOR (78664CYPRS17CYP), lists itself as its own parent. Facilities showing "none listed" have no parent company in the EPA record (EPA stores "NA").

What this does and does not tell you

The lookup reads the TRI facility table: who the facility is, where it is, and the parent company on file. It does not show chemicals or amounts. TRI data are reported annually by industrial and federal facilities that meet reporting requirements, and EPA keeps processing and revising submitted forms, so a facility's records can change after first publication.

Reported release amounts are not exposure. A quantity on a TRI form is what a facility reports managing or releasing. It does not say who was exposed, to how much, or whether anyone was harmed. For potential health context, EPA publishes a separate screening tool, Risk-Screening Environmental Indicators. This page is a records lookup, not health, legal or real-estate advice.

Next step: see what a facility reported

Copy the TRIFID, then open TRI Explorer or Envirofacts TRI Search, both listed on EPA's TRI data and tools page, and search by facility name or location.

How the search works

Your search is sent from your browser to EPA's Envirofacts Data Service (data.epa.gov/dmapservice/tri.tri_facility) using the documented equals operator for state, city and TRIFID, and contains for the name, case-folded to upper case to match EPA's stored text. Up to 100 matches are shown. TNAADO does not store searches. Source and operator syntax: EPA Envirofacts Data Service API. As-of date: live EPA data, last checked 30 September 2026.

FAQ

What is a TRIFID?

The TRI Facility Identifier, the 15-character key TRI uses for each facility record. It lets you find the same facility across EPA tools.

Does a listed facility release toxic chemicals?

Being listed means the facility has a TRI record, not that it is releasing harmful amounts today. Records can be historical.

Do release amounts show my exposure?

No. TRI quantities describe what a facility reports; they do not measure what reaches a person.

Why can I not find a facility?

Only facilities that meet TRI reporting requirements appear, and names are matched as EPA stores them, often abbreviated. Try a shorter fragment or add the city.
