How to check, step by step
- Get the adviser’s full name and the name of their firm.
- Open adviserinfo.sec.gov, the official Investment Adviser Public Disclosure site.
- Search for the individual or the firm, and open the profile that matches.
- Read the profile and any disclosures, and compare the firm name with your contract or account statements.
