What size is a business card?
The Printer Working Group lists a "Business Card" medium of 2 x 3.5 in, which is 50.8 x 88.9 mm. The same standard lists the ID-1 card (ID card size) at 53.98 x 85.6 mm, and the common 3 x 5, 4 x 6 and 5 x 8 in index cards. ISO A8 is 52 x 74 mm and A6 is 105 x 148 mm. Printers in Europe and elsewhere offer their own business card sizes, so check the template from your printer.
To get the pixel size for a print-ready file, convert the card size to inches and multiply by the DPI. If your printer wants bleed (artwork that runs past the trim), enter it above and the pixel sizes include it.
Frequently asked questions
What is the standard business card size?
3.5 x 2 inches (88.9 x 50.8 mm) is the Business Card size in the Printer Working Group standard. Printers also offer other sizes, so use your printer's template.

How much bleed should I add?
Ask your printer. The amount varies by printer; use the bleed field here to see the pixel size with it.
What is the safe area?
The safe area is the margin inside the trim where important text should stay. See the print bleed and safe-area calculator.
