Dimensions are the stored pixel size. Browsers report an SVG at its default size.

What the numbers mean

Pixel dimensions are the stored width and height. Megapixels are width times height divided by one million. The aspect ratio is the width and height reduced by their greatest common divisor, so 1920 x 1080 is 16:9.

Print size depends on resolution: inches = pixels divided by dpi. At 300 dpi a 3000 x 2000 pixel image prints 10 x 6.67 inches; at 72 dpi the same file would stretch to 41.7 inches wide. Printers and labs usually state the dpi they need.

File size is shown with 1 KB = 1,024 bytes, as most operating systems label it. A larger file for the same dimensions usually means less compression or an extra format such as PNG transparency.

Frequently asked questions

Is my image uploaded?

No. The browser reads the file locally and the page loads no advertising or analytics scripts.

Why does an SVG show a strange size?

SVG is vector art; the browser reports its declared or default size, which you can scale freely.

Does this read the dpi saved in the file?

No. Embedded dpi tags rarely change what a printer needs, so the page shows the print size at three common resolutions instead.
