Saskatchewan · Insurance Licensing
Saskatchewan insurance licensee search.
Insurance agents, brokers, adjusters and agencies in Saskatchewan are licensed by the Insurance Councils of Saskatchewan (ICS), which runs a public Licensee Search. This page explains it and links to it; it checks nothing itself.
Short answer: use the ICS Licensee Search (basic and advanced). ICS says it licenses and regulates insurance agents, brokers, adjusters and agencies in Saskatchewan.
Who ICS licenses
ICS’s home page states: “We licence and regulate Insurance Agents, Brokers, Adjusters and Agencies in Saskatchewan.” Its site has licensing sections for general insurance, life insurance, crop hail insurance and catastrophe adjusters.
The home page offers a quick Licensee Search box and an Advanced Search option.
Open the ICS Licensee Search
The search is hosted on an ICS subdomain and linked from the ICS home page. The council also publishes consumer notices and disciplinary decisions.
ICS licenses agents, not the FCAA
The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority (FCAA) is a separate Saskatchewan body. For insurance agent, broker and adjuster licensing, ICS’s own site says it is the one that licenses and regulates them, so start there. This page does not cover mortgage broker licensing.
Consumer notices
The ICS home page lists notices and bulletins, including a September 2025 bulletin titled “Notice – Ensure Licensees Are Properly Licensed & Report Misconduct.” Read it on the ICS site for its exact content.

Yes. The ICS home page links to an Advanced Search alongside the quick search.

ICS has a Crop Hail Insurance section and a Catastrophe Adjusters section under Getting Licensed. Check those pages for the requirements.
How do I report someone who is not licensed?
ICS publishes a complaints process under Consumer Information. Use the ICS site rather than this page.

No. ICS does not publish a check-digit formula that we found, so this page does not validate numbers.
Guide only — not a verification tool
This page describes the official register and links to it. It does not check anyone’s licence status, does not copy or proxy the register, and nothing you might type here is transmitted anywhere. Registers change; use the official source linked above and contact the regulator to confirm anything that matters.
