Quebec · Real Estate Brokerage Licensing
Verify a Quebec broker in the OACIQ register.
The OACIQ (Organisme d’autoréglementation du courtage immobilier du Québec) publishes a register of real estate brokerage and agency licence holders. This page explains the search and links you to it. For mortgage brokers, OACIQ points to the AMF instead.
Short answer: search the OACIQ register by broker name or licence number. This page does not query the register and cannot confirm a licence.
What the OACIQ register offers
OACIQ’s register lets you check whether a person holds a real estate brokerage licence or an agency licence, and says it is updated daily. The search form offers:
- Broker name (first name before last name) or licence number
- A checkbox to include revoked or suspended brokers
- Authorized practice rights: all, commercial or residential
- Agency or company name, region and city or area
OACIQ says the register can show contact information, whether a broker has been subject to disciplinary measures, and training courses completed. Suspended or revoked licences are hidden unless you tick the checkbox.

When to check a Quebec broker
Typical reasons: before signing a brokerage contract, when someone claims to be a broker in an online listing, or to see whether a broker’s licence is suspended or carries conditions.
Mortgage brokers and brokers from other provinces
OACIQ says to contact the AMF for mortgage brokers. For brokers licensed outside Quebec, it says to identify the regulator in that jurisdiction.

Guide only — not a verification tool
This page describes the official register and links to it. It does not check anyone’s licence status, does not copy or proxy the register, and nothing you might type here is transmitted anywhere. Registers change; use the official source linked above and contact the regulator to confirm anything that matters.
