What the College says about its register
The College says it regulates dietitians for public protection, that the Register of Dietitians is posted on its website to help you verify the status of a dietitian registered to practise in Ontario, and that discipline decisions are published on its website and on the public Register.

Common reasons: before paying for nutrition counselling, checking credentials on a clinic website, or confirming a name on a benefits receipt.
Before you search
- Have the full legal name as printed on a receipt, licence or letter, and any other name the person uses.
- Note the city or clinic, which can help separate people with common names.
- If the register returns nothing, try other spellings and ask the CDO directly before drawing any conclusion.
What a register result can and cannot tell you
A register entry reflects what the College holds on the date you look. It does not rate quality of care, and it is not a recommendation. If something looks wrong or out of date, contact the College.
