APEGNB registry lookup.
The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of New Brunswick (APEGNB) keeps a Public Registry of registrants. This page explains what it lists and links you to it. It does not search for you.
Short answer: the official place to check is the APEGNB Public Registry. Open it, search by name or member number, and read the status on the record.
What the APEGNB Public Registry covers
- The registry lists persons and entities currently registered with APEGNB, with separate Member Search and Firm Search.
- Under the Engineering and Geoscience Professions Act, only registered persons, or companies holding a Certificate of Authorization, may practise engineering or geoscience in New Brunswick, according to APEGNB.
- EITs and GITs listed in the registry must work under professional supervision.
- Retired registrants are listed too. They are no longer entitled to practise but may continue to use the titles P.Eng. and P.Geo.
- The registry does not include former registrants. Disciplinary information is on a separate APEGNB page.
- The registry supports wildcard characters when you are unsure of an exact spelling.
Check a registrant in New Brunswick
- Open the APEGNB Public Registry using the button above.
- Use Member Search for a person or Firm Search for a company.
- Read the status: a listing for a retired registrant or an EIT is not the same as a licence to practise independently.
- For discipline history, use the link APEGNB provides from the registry page.
Why check New Brunswick engineer or geoscientist registration
People check the register before signing a contract with a consultant or contractor who advertises engineering or geoscience services, before relying on a stamped drawing or report, and when a firm says it holds a Certificate of Authorization or permit. Match the name, the member or licence number and the status to the document in front of you. Our P.Eng vs EIT and stamp guide explains why a title or stamp alone is not proof, and the province finder links every regulator we cover.

Guide only — not a verification tool
This page is a guide to a public register run by the regulator. It does not look up, scrape, store or transmit anyone’s details, and it cannot confirm a licence on its own. Only the regulator’s register, or the regulator itself, can tell you whether someone is currently licensed.
