Worked example

Membership: $89 a month with 1 included visit, extra visits at $100. A regular visit is $120. You go once a month: membership $89.00 vs $120.00 paying per visit, a saving of $31.00 a month, $372.00 a year. The fee equals 89 / 120 = 0.74 regular visits. At 2 visits a month: $89 + $100 = $189.00 vs $240.00, saving $51.00. If you go 0 times in a month you still pay $89.00, and the included visit, worth $120.00, goes unused.

How it works

membership cost = fee + extra visits x member price, where extra visits = visits beyond those included. Pay-per-visit = visits x regular price. Saving = pay-per-visit - membership.

The fee equals fee / regular price visits. If you will go at least that often, and the included visits are used, the membership costs less.

Memberships often carry sign-up fees, minimum terms and expiry on unused visits. None are assumed here, so read your contract.

How do I know if a facial membership is worth it?

How are extra visits priced?

At the member price you enter for add-on visits. Leave it blank to use the regular price.

Does the tool include sign-up fees or cancellation terms?

No. Add a one-off fee to the first month yourself and check the contract for minimum terms.

Does this work for massage or other treatments?
