Where the prices come from
Every price, time period and Tiered threshold comes from the Ontario Energy Board's Electricity rates page, which lists the prices set for November 1, 2025 (the OEB sets prices once a year on November 1). Checked 29 September 2026.
- TOU: off-peak 9.8¢ (weekdays 7pm–7am, all day on weekends and holidays), mid-peak 15.7¢, on-peak 20.3¢. In winter on-peak is weekdays 7–11am and 5–7pm and mid-peak is 11am–5pm; in summer they swap.
- ULO: ultra-low overnight 3.9¢ (11pm–7am every day), weekend off-peak 9.8¢ (weekends and holidays 7am–11pm), mid-peak 15.7¢ (weekdays 7am–4pm and 9–11pm), on-peak 39.1¢ (weekdays 4–9pm). Same all year.
- Tiered: 12.0¢ up to the monthly threshold, 14.2¢ above it. Residential threshold 1,000 kWh in winter and 600 kWh in summer; non-residential 750 kWh year-round.

Frequently asked questions
Is this my whole electricity bill?
No. It covers the OEB-set electricity (commodity) line only. Delivery, regulatory charges, HST and any Ontario Electricity Rebate are billed separately and are the same whichever plan you choose to compare here.
Does this apply if I have a contract with a retailer?
No. Retailer contract prices are not set by the OEB, and the Global Adjustment is billed on top of a contract price. This compares the three OEB-regulated plans only.
How are holidays treated?
The OEB applies the weekend price periods on holidays. Put holiday usage in the weekends and holidays window. The OEB publishes the holiday schedule for TOU and ULO on its site.
Will these prices change?
Yes. The OEB resets prices each November 1. Check the OEB page linked above for current numbers before you switch plans.
