Cloud cost · serverless

Lambda cost, from requests to GB-seconds.

Estimate a monthly Lambda bill from invocations, billed duration and memory, with the free tier, x86 or Arm tiers and every rate editable.

Cost = (billable GB-seconds × tier rate) + (requests above free tier × $0.20 per million). GB-seconds = invocations × duration in seconds × memory in GB.

Defaults are x86 prices. For Arm enter 0.0000133334, 0.0000120001 and 0.0000106667. x86 tiers change after 6 and 15 billion GB-seconds; Arm after 7.5 and 18.75 billion.

Method and limits

Duration is rounded up to a whole millisecond, GB-seconds are summed for the month, the free tier is subtracted, and the remainder is priced through the tier bands. Memory is converted at 1,024 MB per GB.

Frequently asked questions

How is AWS Lambda billed?

Lambda charges for requests and for duration measured in GB-seconds (memory in GB multiplied by run time in seconds), plus optional charges such as extra ephemeral storage.

Does the Lambda free tier reduce this estimate?

Yes. The tool subtracts 1,000,000 requests and 400,000 GB-seconds per month, the amounts shown on the AWS pricing page. Edit the free-tier fields if your account differs.

Is Arm cheaper than x86 on Lambda?

The AWS price list shows a lower first-tier GB-second rate for Arm ($0.0000133334) than x86 ($0.0000166667) in US East (N. Virginia). Whether your function runs unchanged on Arm is outside the calculator.

What does this estimate leave out?

Provisioned concurrency, data transfer, CloudWatch logs, API Gateway and other services your function calls are not included.
