OCP pharmacist lookup.
Need to check an Ontario pharmacist or pharmacy technician? The Ontario College of Pharmacists keeps the public register. This page explains what that register covers and sends you to it. It does not look anyone up itself.
Use the official register for the answer: The College’s own “Find a Pharmacy or Pharmacy Professional” tool is the only place to check a pharmacist. This page is a guide and cannot confirm anyone’s registration.
Who is on the OCP register
OCP states that all pharmacy professionals qualified to practise pharmacy in Ontario must register with the College, and that it posts information on current pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, interns and intern technicians. The same tool also finds pharmacies.
OCP describes these tabs on each profile:
- General tab: full name and any previous or preferred names, and known current work
- Registration History: first registration date, the types of pharmacy professional the person has been, and any suspension, cancellation, resignation, revocation or reinstatement
- Academic & Training History: when and where pharmacy education was completed
- Concerns: information the College posts about concerns relevant to suitability to practise, flagged with a yellow circle
OCP notes that pharmacists and technicians practising in Ontario under As of Right legislation do not appear on the public register until they register with the College. A person missing from the register is therefore a reason to ask the College, not proof of anything.

Why you’d check a pharmacist’s registration
People usually check a pharmacist when they are using a new or online pharmacy, hiring a pharmacy technician, confirming the person behind the counter is the pharmacist, or reading a prescription or consultation note signed by someone they do not know.
Before you search
- Have the full legal name as printed on a receipt, licence or letter, and any other name the person uses.
- Note the city or clinic, which can help separate people with common names.
- If the register returns nothing, try other spellings and ask the OCP directly before drawing any conclusion.
What a register result can and cannot tell you
A register entry reflects what the College holds on the date you look. It does not rate quality of care, and it is not a recommendation. If something looks wrong or out of date, contact the College.
Frequently asked questions
How do I look up a pharmacist in Ontario?
Open the Ontario College of Pharmacists’ Find a Pharmacy or Pharmacy Professional tool and search by name. OCP publishes a guide to using it, linked on this page.
Does the OCP register include pharmacy technicians?
OCP says it posts information on current pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, interns and intern technicians registered to practise in Ontario.
What if a pharmacist is not on the register?
Do not draw a conclusion from one search. OCP notes that people practising under As of Right legislation do not appear until they register with the College, and spellings or previous names can differ. Contact the College to ask.
Can I verify a pharmacist on this page?
No. This page does not search or store anything and cannot confirm registration. Use the College register linked above.
Guide only — not a verification tool
This page does not check anyone’s registration, does not copy or proxy the OCP register, and nothing you might type here is transmitted anywhere. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Ontario College of Pharmacists. Use the official register linked above, and contact the College if you have a concern. Information was read from the College’s public pages in October 2026 and may change.
