$20,000 collected across 250 payments. The 5% platform fee is $1,000.00. Processing at 3% is $600.00 plus 250 x $0.20 = $50.00, a total of $650.00. You receive $18,350.00, 91.8% of the total, with fees averaging $6.60 per payment. Indiegogo's own example, $10,000 across 100 transactions, leaves $9,180, and this calculator returns the same figure. To net $15,000 with 250 payments you would need to collect $16,358.70.
How it works
Indiegogo's fee article, effective 16 October 2025, sets a 5% platform fee on payments collected and a processing fee of 3% plus a fixed amount per transaction, $0.20 in US dollars. The fixed part is charged per payment, so the number of contributions matters as well as the total.
Indiegogo's fees page says that if a campaign does not reach its goal you pay nothing, including processing fees. Processing rates and fixed amounts differ by currency, and bank or wire charges on payout are separate, so this tool uses the USD figures only.
Taxes, refunds, rewards, shipping and any perks cost are not modelled. Everything runs in your browser; nothing you type is sent or stored.
