Amazon TACoS calculator.
Enter ad spend and total sales. Add ad-attributed sales to also get ACOS, ROAS and your organic share.
TACoS = ad spend / total sales x 100. $2,000 of ads on $20,000 of total sales is a TACoS of 10%. ACOS divides the same spend by ad-attributed sales only.

Worked example
Ad spend is $2,000, ad-attributed sales are $8,000 and total sales are $20,000. TACoS = 2,000 / 20,000 = 10%. ACOS = 2,000 / 8,000 = 25%. ROAS = 8,000 / 2,000 = 4.0. Ads are credited with 40% of sales, so organic sales are $12,000 (60%).
How it works
TACoS = ad spend / total sales. Total sales means every sale of the product or account in the period, whether or not an ad got the credit.
ACOS = ad spend / ad-attributed sales. That is Amazon Ads' own definition. ROAS is its inverse: ad-attributed sales / ad spend.
Organic sales = total sales - ad-attributed sales. This treats everything not credited to an ad as organic, which is a simplification: attribution windows differ, so use the same date range and the same attribution window for every number you enter.
The Amazon Ads ACOS guide defines ACOS as ad spend divided by ad revenue. It does not define TACoS, so on this page TACoS means ad spend divided by total sales (ad-attributed plus organic).

FAQ
What is TACoS on Amazon?
TACoS stands for total advertising cost of sale: ad spend divided by total sales, ad-attributed and organic together. The Amazon Ads ACOS guide does not define it, so you calculate it from your ad console spend and your total sales.
What is the difference between TACoS and ACOS?
ACOS divides ad spend by sales attributed to ads. TACoS divides the same ad spend by all sales. Because total sales are at least as large as ad sales, TACoS is never higher than ACOS.
What is a good TACoS?
There is no official benchmark. A useful ceiling is your own margin: if TACoS is above your margin, ads cost more than the profit on total sales. See the profit after ads calculator.
Which period should I use?
Use the same dates for ad spend, ad sales and total sales. Weekly or monthly figures are less noisy than single days because of attribution delays.
