What “within limits” means

It means the parcel is inside the published maximum for the carrier’s standard parcel service. It does not mean the carrier will price it cheaply, or that it covers a specific service, destination or surcharge. Girth is calculated as twice the sum of the two shorter sides, the same convention Evri states; Parcelforce does not define girth in the price guide, so it is assumed to follow it. DHL Express is an international express service, shown here for comparison.

Frequently asked questions

Which UK courier takes the biggest parcels?

Among these, DHL Express Worldwide allows pieces up to 120 × 80 × 80 cm and 70 kg, though it is an express service priced differently from domestic carriers. Parcelforce takes up to 1.5 m (2.5 m large) at 30 kg.

Which carrier has the lowest weight limit?

Evri, at 15 kg.

Do the limits include packaging?

Measure and weigh the parcel as you will hand it over, with all packaging.

Why does one carrier say 30 kg and another 31 kg?

DPD’s terms say 31 kg for a Parcel while its large parcel page says 30 kg. This site treats 30 kg as the safe figure.

Is this a price comparison?

No. It only checks size and weight against published limits. Use each carrier’s quote tool for prices.

A guide, not a quote

This page compares your measurements with limits the carriers publish. It does not query any carrier, cannot confirm acceptance or price, and collects no personal data. Carriers change limits and prices, so confirm with the carrier before you ship.
