DPD UK defines a standard parcel, a Shop Parcel and a Freight Parcel by size and weight. See where yours lands.
Quick answer: under DPD UK’s terms a domestic standard parcel is under 1 m long, 0.6 m wide and 0.7 m high, with length + width + height up to 2.3 m and a weight limit of 31 kg (30 kg on DPD’s large parcel page).

DPD UK parcel definitions
DPD’s standard terms and conditions define each UK service by size and weight.
| Service | Definition in the terms |
|---|---|
| Parcel | No more than 31 kg; less than 1 m long, 0.6 m wide and 0.7 m high; length + height + width not more than 2.3 m |
| Shop Parcel | Up to 20 kg; not more than 0.6 m in any direction; no two sides over 1.2 m together |
| Freight Parcel | 31–99 kg, or larger than the Parcel measurements |
The 30 kg versus 31 kg discrepancy
The terms say 31 kg for a Parcel. DPD’s large parcel page says “up to 30kg” and quotes 1 m length and 230 cm girth. The checker flags the 30–31 kg gap and treats 30 kg as the safe limit when you book online.
How the size check works
DPD lists length, width and height separately. The checker tries every arrangement of your three measurements against 1 m, 0.6 m and 0.7 m, requiring each to be under the limit, then checks the sum is 2.3 m or less. This is a UK domestic check only. International DPD parcels, Expresspak and pallets have different rules and are not covered.

Frequently asked questions
What is the maximum size of a DPD parcel?
Under 1 m long, 0.6 m wide and 0.7 m high, with length + width + height not more than 2.3 m, per DPD’s standard terms.
What is the DPD weight limit?
The terms say a Parcel is no more than 31 kg, while the large parcel page says up to 30 kg. Use 30 kg to be safe.
What is a DPD freight parcel?
A parcel of 31 to 99 kg, or one larger than the standard Parcel measurements, per the terms.
What is a DPD Shop Parcel?
An item up to 20 kg, not over 0.6 m in any direction, with no two sides together over 1.2 m, delivered to or collected from a pickup location.
Do these limits apply to international DPD parcels?
No. DPD defines International Parcels separately, for example up to 31.5 kg and under 1.75 m long, so this tool is for UK domestic parcels only.
