Master carton

Use the same dimension unit for every edge and the same weight unit for product, tare, and cap. Values stay in this browser and are not uploaded.

Best axis-aligned packout

Enter product and internal carton dimensions.

Transparent carton geometry

For each of the six ways to assign product length, width, and height to the carton axes, the tool calculates floor(carton edge ÷ product edge) and multiplies the three counts. It then limits that dimensional capacity to floor((maximum gross weight − carton tare) ÷ unit weight).

What this model does not solve

This is axis-aligned rectangular tiling, not irregular three-dimensional bin packing. It does not rotate products diagonally, interlock shapes, model compression, dividers, cushioning, bulging, crush strength, center of gravity, pallet limits, carrier limits, or legal/manual-handling limits. Enter the carton’s internal usable dimensions after liners and protective material.

Clearances describe the unused edge space around a full orientation grid. If the weight cap allows fewer units than that grid, the tool does not claim a specific partial-load arrangement. Validate the final packout physically before ordering cartons or shipping product.
