How many days until your birthday
Subtract today's date from the date of your next birthday. The count starts at the beginning of today, so tomorrow is 1 day away and a birthday that falls today shows 0 days.
Worked example. Born 15 March 1990, counting from 8 October 2026: the next birthday is Monday, March 15, 2027, 158 days away (22 weeks and 4 days), and you turn 37.
February 29 birthdays. In a year that is not a leap year there is no February 29, so the tool lets you choose February 28 or March 1. Born on 29 February 2000, counting from 8 October 2026, the next birthday is Sunday, February 28, 2027 (143 days) if you pick February 28. A year is a leap year when it divides by 4, except century years that do not divide by 400 (see the leap year checker).

How do I count the days until my birthday?

Does the count include today?
No. The count runs from the start of the "count from" date, so a birthday tomorrow shows 1 day and a birthday today shows 0.
What if my birthday is February 29?
In non-leap years the tool uses February 28 or March 1, whichever you choose. Both are common conventions and the right one depends on where you are and what it is for.
Can I count down to someone else's birthday?
