Productivity Calculators

Free slot finder.

Type your busy times one per line, set your working day and the shortest slot you care about, and see every open gap. Your calendar is never uploaded: the isolated tool frame has no ads or third-party scripts and does the work in your browser.

How to find free slots

  1. Set when your day starts and ends.
  2. Type your busy times, one per line, in 24-hour form such as 13:00-14:30 or in am and pm form such as 1pm-2:30pm. Words after the times are ignored.
  3. Set the shortest slot you need and an optional buffer around each busy block for travel or reset time.
  4. Press Calculate to see every open gap and the total free time.

Using the result

The finder clips each busy block to your working day, merges overlaps, adds the buffer before and after each block and lists the gaps that are long enough. It also shows the total free and busy minutes and the longest slot, which is handy for deciding whether a long task or a meeting needs to be moved to another day.

Buffers are a quick way to be realistic: a 15-minute buffer on every meeting makes back-to-back days look as tight as they feel. Since you type the times in, it works with any calendar, and nothing needs to be connected or shared.

Your calendar stays on your device

The finder runs in your browser, inside an isolated frame on this page that has no network access. Your file is read and written back by your own device, so it is not uploaded to TNAADO or anyone else, and nothing is stored. The advertising on this page sits outside the frame and cannot see what you choose. The times you type are never uploaded and are not connected to any calendar account.

Worked example

Working day 09:00 to 17:00 with busy blocks 9:30-10:30, 11:00-12:00, 12:00-13:00 and 14:30-15:00, and a 30-minute minimum. The blocks leave four gaps: 09:00 to 09:30 (30 min), 10:30 to 11:00 (30 min), 13:00 to 14:30 (90 min) and 15:00 to 17:00 (120 min). That is 270 minutes free out of 480, with 210 minutes busy, and the longest slot is 120 minutes.

How it works

Each busy line is read as a start and an end time. Blocks are clipped to your working day, padded by the buffer if you set one, and overlapping or touching blocks are merged. Whatever remains inside the working day is a free slot, and only slots at least as long as your minimum are listed.

Lines the tool cannot read are skipped and reported by line number, so you can fix them. A line must start with the two times, for example 9:30-10:30 or 1pm to 2pm. This tool handles one day at a time.

Private by design. Meeting times can reveal a lot, so the isolated tool frame loads no ads, analytics or third-party scripts, and the text you type stays in your browser.

Sources and basis (checked 2026-10-08): arithmetic on the times you enter; no external data is used.

FAQ

How do I find free time between meetings?

List each meeting as a start and end time, one per line, set your working day, and the tool lists every gap between them that is long enough.

What time formats can I use?

24-hour times such as 13:00-14:30, or am and pm times such as 1pm-2:30pm. Words after the times on a line are ignored.

What does the buffer do?

It extends every busy block by that many minutes on both sides, for travel or a reset, so the free slots are shorter or disappear.

Is my schedule uploaded anywhere?

No. The calculation runs in your browser and the isolated tool frame loads no ads or third-party scripts.

Why was a line skipped?

The tool could not read two times at the start of it, or the end time was not after the start time. The result lists the line numbers that were skipped.
