Treatment room revenue per hour.
Enter session length, changeover time, price, open hours and how full the book is. See revenue for each hour the room is open and how many bookings cover room cost.
Revenue per open hour = booked sessions x price / open hours. A 60-minute massage at $110 with 15 minutes of changeover fits 7 sessions in a 9-hour day. Booked 70% of the time that is 4.9 sessions, $539 a day or $59.89 per open room hour.

Worked example
The room opens 9 hours (540 minutes). A session plus changeover takes 75 minutes, and the last session needs no changeover, so (540 + 15) / 75 = 7.4 gives 7 slots. Booked 70%, that is 4.9 sessions x $110 = $539, or $59.89 for each of the 9 open hours. Over 6 days a week (about 4.33 weeks a month) that is 127.4 sessions and $14,014 a month. Each session contributes $110 x 55% - $6 = $54.50, so 127.4 sessions earn $6,943.30 against $1,800 room cost: $5,143.30 profit, and 34 sessions a month cover the room.
How it works
Slots per day = floor((open minutes + changeover) / (session + changeover)). Changeover is needed between clients, not after the last one.
Contribution per session = price x (1 - therapist pay %) - supplies. If you rent the room to a therapist instead, use the Booth & Chair Rental Break-Even Calculator.
Months use 52 / 12 weeks. Revenue per open hour counts all open hours, including empty ones, so it shows how well the room is used, not just what a booked hour earns.
Sources and basis (checked 2026-10-08): arithmetic on the numbers you enter. No outside data or published rate is used, so every default is a placeholder to replace with your own. This is a planning estimate, not accounting, legal or tax advice.

FAQ
How do I calculate massage room revenue per hour?
Multiply booked sessions per day by the price and divide by the hours the room is open. A 7-slot day booked 70% at $110 over 9 hours is $59.89 per hour.
Why include changeover time?
Clients need time to leave, the table to be turned over and the next client to arrive. Without it you overcount how many sessions fit in a day.
What utilization should a massage room aim for?
There is no published standard. Use the break-even booked share this page calculates as your minimum and compare it with your real booking history.
Does this include tips or add-ons?
No. Add the average add-on spend to the price if you want it included, and leave tips out unless the studio keeps them.
