Enter current rates to compare the three choices.

Formulas and example

Discount = sold units × (discount price × (1 − entered marketplace rate) − entered fulfilment fee) − unsold units × entered unsold-unit cost. Remove = units × (off-Amazon recovery − removal fee − return freight). Liquidate = units × (gross liquidation recovery × (1 − entered referral rate) − processing fee).

Example: 100 units at a 60% sell-through means 60 use the discount formula and 40 use the unsold-unit cost. Product cost is omitted because it is already sunk across all three choices.

Limitations and official sources

Eligibility, timing, taxes, storage timing, return condition, disposal, labour, price effects and future demand remain outside this comparison. Liquidation recovery is uncertain; use a range of entered scenarios and confirm current rates before acting.

Official sources, checked 15 October 2026: Amazon’s FBA Liquidations help explains recovery and deductions; FBA removal order fees explains per-unit removal rates; and Amazon Outlet explains that deal eligibility and maximum price can change.
