Why this is not another 50-page state directory

The useful question is usually comparative: which state has the higher wage floor, whether daily overtime changes the answer, or whether a pay schedule and paid-leave obligation needs extra payroll work. One maintained dataset makes those comparisons visible and keeps refreshes auditable.

Jurisdiction caveat: these are statutory snapshots, not a determination of coverage. Local minimum wages, tipped rates, industry exemptions, collective agreements and city ordinances can produce a higher obligation. Start with the linked state labor agency before relying on a result.
